victory rolls.

for a really long time, i've wanted to give victory rolls a try.  victory rolls are a classic 1940's hairstyle.  they match perfectly with polka dots, cuffed denim and bright red lipstick and nails. i've tried a few times, and honestly, they're hard!  but i stuck with it and tonight they came out pretty great.  zach and i are headed out for some cocktails so tonight's a perfect night to debut 'em.

mini-makeup review

i never have liked lipstick.  i always felt like it was older lady-ish.  but now, you can't keep me away from it. maybe cuz i am older lady-ish??!  it completes the look, makes you feel put together, and a lil bit sexy.  yeah? 

so, i was sucked in by advertising and bought the new cover girl blast flipstick.  here are the array of colors:

i picked "intense." it's a deep purple/burgundy on one end and a frosty cream colored shade on the other.  i LOVE the dark side, but the cream colored end is just meh.  it does look nice layered over the dark color, though.  definitely recommend.
