The weekend was interesting; who can hate on a long weekend? Not me! I spent the holiday off driving through Vermont, shopping at some weird ass stores. I visited farmway which is a store filled with all things Patagonia, Pendleton, and North Face. This is typically not my thing but I persevered and left with what I like best: hats! Last winter zach had a bunch of basic $10 hats from uo that I stole, wore, and lost on a regular basis. By the end of the winter, we had one left between the two of us so I stocked up on basic hats in black, navy and royal for him (and me) to wear through the winter. And I could not resist this hat for myself: it’s purple, it covers my ears, and most importantly, it’s got a big pom.
Our next stop was pizza for lunch in the middle of an old, rundown town. As we sat in the window, one of my co-workers said “oh look, an old five and dime, let’s go in.” I had never been to one of these old shops but I’m never one to turn down a creepy shopping experience. Amongst the life size stuffed animal deer and paint-by-numbers I found a pretty decent craft section. I also found a somewhat-hard-to-find skein of red heart Peruvian print yarn. Last night I made the DIY from honestly WTF below. Mine will be a headband or bag accessory.
My last stop on my day o shopping was the shoe horn in town. I walked out with a new pair of black skinnies because of course I needed a fifth pair, right? Right.
