we all know her from that 70's show, forgetting sarah marshall and the voice of meg on family guy.  sarah marshall is great - and since i never watched that 70's show, that's where my crush began.  she's beautiful cool and has a radical boyfriend.  win!

i've never been the type of girl to dream about a wedding. i've attended loads of great weddings and been very happy for the couples.  but if i ever meet you and we decide to get married, i'll skip the centerpieces, bachelorette parties, seating charts and cake in exchange for something a little more me.  like my sweet family of four, lots of hugs and private moments, and music.  and i would most certainly want you to sing this song in my ear.

new york was so fantastic.  i haven't yet come back from a trip there and not wished i lived there full time.  i guess you never know what the future holds.  here's a photo journal of my trip! mostly it's a lot of eating but i'm ok with that:

cocktails at my hotel bar while i waited... (i'm loving having drinks alone lately, especially at a hotel bar. it feels sexy or something...)

then onto dinner at niso in chelsea with a great group amazing people.  it was one of those dinners where people tell stories that make you want to make the absolue most of your life. to take chances and to keep your heart open. ok dry your eyes.

it was so warm and beautiful friday night... what makes more sense than mojitos at a cuban bar next?

as we strolled back to the hotel, we figured one last drink couldn't hurt, right?

the next morning hurt. but i'm ok with that.  up early for a trip to century 21 (it's a department store) with my girl friends... then some mid-day outdoor drinks at vamos! it was perfect.

next up, architectural digest home design show at pier 94 (and sno-cones!)

followed by margaritas (in a boot, of course) at gonzalez y gonzalez

then pitchers at bleecker street bar, a walk through washington square and one last cocktail at else.  the best dark and stormy i've had yet. 

i wished for something true.

i'm off on friday to manhattan! i'll see my brother, his girlfriend and some friends.  it's a quick trip with lots to sqquueeeeeze in but i am beyond excited to have a little break from boston and see some people i miss...a lot.

(this is how i feel today)

here in your bedroom, i feel safe from the outside.

one of my most favorite sayings is "messy bed, messy head."  when my living, sleeping and working areas are not in order, i can't feel quite settled.  i find this is especially true in my bedroom.  it's hard for me to leave my apartment for the day when clothes are strewn on the floor, my water glass is next to the bed and the sheets are in a big ball.  i fully realize i'm sounding like a bit of an old lady right now, but i appreciate a comfy bed in a clean room when i'm ready to curl up for the night.  here's some photos of amazing/weird/awesome bedrooms.

i love chandeliers. i LOVE them. and also fireplaces. so pretty!

i'm a fraidy cat.  i have a night light. but this room with the glass wall is so wonderful! right? until there is a creature or a camouflaged night stalker out there i suppose.

maybe this is a better compromise. less creatures. more birds. way less intruders i bet.

it's friday.  it's girl crush time.  it's jenny lewis. rilo kiley band member/vocalist. lead lady in her solo project jenny lewis and the watson twins. child actor too! ever heard of troop beverly hills? the wizard? miss jenny is in both! how beautiful is she?  of all the girl crushes yet, i think she may be tops.

we all know him. he’s impossible not to love. i don’t need to scream his praises from the hangover. mister zach galifanakis has been around doing fantastical bits for a long time. let’s have a look at my favorite projects of his:

Between two ferns. This is a series of videos for funny or die. Zach interviews several celebrities while seated ‘between two ferns’ – these celebs include: brad “lee” cooper, Michael cera, jon hamm, conan, charlize theron. My favorite is Natalie Portman. zach has also appeared several times on the tim and eric awesome show, great job!. I was luck enough to see tim and eric live last year (no zach!) and it was fantastically weird and yes, very awesome. tim, eric and zach also made a commercial for absolut vodka (there's 3 parts but i'm just gonna hook you in with part 1). watch!

there is so much more out there if you love zach as much as me... my brother's birthday is coming up and one of his gifts from me is the 7" vinyl edition of "up in them guts" - a dance track by zach g and fiona apple.  what a lucky brother i say.

in addition to his movie projects, zach is in the hbo show: bored to death, also starring jason schwartzman.  here i am with my girls at a premiere of the show: yeah!

rivers know this: there is no hurry. we shall get there some day.

last night i saw alice in wonderland.  a co-worker said to me today that he wouldn't see it because he heard it was "too much for kids."  i'm a kid. always. and so are you.  i think today is the perfect day for some quotes from someone very important, not very smart but very wise.  these are my favorites because they make my tummy feel good and warm... even on days i'm struggling a bit. thanks pooh.
