i look forward to hair appointments the same way a child looks forward to their birthday or christmas. there is something so calming about sitting in that chair, chopping off dead ends, and getting a fresh color. it's 2 or 3 hours for me to just sit, read magazines and talk about hair.to many, this may sound like a foolish and inane pleasure but to me it's the ultimate alone time. remember the episode of satc where carrie talks about her "secret, single beahavior?" Hers is eating saltines and jelly while standing in her kitchen reading fashion magazines. Mine is definitely the pleasure i derive from a hair cut/color.
That said, tomorrow at noon i'm cutting 6 inches or so off this mop and coloring it red.
