I haven't tried out that many eyeliners. I definitely like retractable better than pencil because it's less to deal with. I've only ever tried one liquid eyeliner. It was fine but I won't talk about it since I have nothing to compare it to. I plan on trying out a gel liner this summer, I just don't know which one to get.
I'm really boring and have been using the same Almay eyeliner for a while now. It goes on easily and it's really black and doesn't make my skin feel bad. The only downside is that it comes off really easily, especially on my tight line and water line, so I'm not completely set on it.
