OBSSSD.

i am practically bursting with excitement to see BHLDN's decor line has been launched.  for anyone not sure what BHLDN means, it is the new Anthropologie wedding line; though they are two separate entities, they compliment each other.  while the dresses are gorgeous, i'm not in marriage mode so i tend to get more excited for party and home decor.  one thing i can honestly say is that i've always been a party planner.  whether it's harry potter opening night and i'm mixing up butterbeers or champagne cocktails on new year's eve, i've always loved concieving party ideas and bringing them to fruition.  the BHLDN line is everything i could ask for in terms of inspiration.

this weekend, my boyfriend and i are hosting a small lunch for my family on mother's day.  the menu is simple: mama's day sangria + assorted beer, cranberry/pecan/bleu cheese salad, and my lovie's delicious pulled pork/cornbread/potato pie.  i'm picking up cupcakes from a yummy bakery and making my own bunting to decorate them with. we'll cook together but i begged him to let me handle all the decorating, tabletop, centerpieces.  not surprisingly, he agreed ;)  vintage floral fabic for placemats, bright flowers in mason jars, and fruit-filled goblets of sparkling wine at the bar.
i've posted some beauties from BHLDN i'm using as inpiration for sunday and for future parties. i'm in love.

i've got bunting like this in my bedroom
these coupes are perfect.  i want 100.
 placecard holders.
making my own for the cupcakes!
cake stands make everything prettier.  especially this beaut.
i have a million pitchers.  this one is so purdy though.
used these at my harry potter party.  they are paper and disintegrate but way better than plastic, right?!
