Then, I was inspired by this picture from fashion week:

And I was all like, Whatever... I can do that....

So I did.

Here is the progression.

1. Brush your hair.

Step 2: Tease your hair

Step 3: Shape your hair like you are in the cast of Mad Men.

Step 4: Tease your hair again.

Step 5: decide you like Dolly Parton more than the Fashion Week inspiration.

Would you believe me if I told you I didn't use a drop of hairspray and only a basic comb to do all this...?
