today was a co-worker's birthday. last night we decorated her office in the tackiest, best way and photographed her reaction this morning. it's been a tough year for her so it was nice to see her happy. to celebrate, we brought our lunch plus cupcakes and sparkling cider into the conference room and played an intense game of CLUE. i won! no mercy.
my sweet boyfriend's birthday is also this weekend and i want so bad to share what i have planned... but it's a surprise! i can tell you that we're having friends over saturday night to celebrate and sunday, his actual birthday, is just for us two.
The theme for saturday night is throwback kid's birthday party with alcohol! This means: old school decoations, piles of board games, hot pretzels with mustard and cupcakes. oh, and loads of drinks! the birthday boy also requested birthday pie instead of cake, so sunday he will get his wish in the form of a mixed berry pie. i'll photo it all plus fill you in on any surprises on monday.
