SIMON BURSTEIN NAMED BROWNS CEO

It´s all change at Browns this month, as managing director Niki Scordi is leaving the company after three years at the helm and founder Joan Burstein´s son, Simon Burstein - who has recently relocated to London after 20 years spent building the profile of Sonia Rykiel in Paris - has been named the legendary boutique business' ceo. He will work closely with his sister, Caroline Burstein, who is Browns' creative director, in overseeing new projects and continuing to push the brand profile to even greater heights.

"We are thrilled at last to have both our children working actively for the company," says Mrs B, speaking exclusively to VOGUE.COM. "At the same time I am sad to have to say goodbye to Niki Scordi and thank her for her brilliant work for Browns in the last three years." Scordi, who is expected to take on the managing director role at Nicole Farhi this summer, is widely credited with maintaining and building upon the already stellar reputation of the business, putting it on a world stage alongside the likes of Barneys, Liberty and Selfridges.
