THURLEY AT AUSTIQUE

With summer almost in sight it's time to add some new season pieces to your wardrobe and Australian fashion label Thurley, which has now arrived at London boutique Austique, is a good place to start. Launched in 2005 by Helen Thurley O'Connor – a graduate of New York's renowned Fashion Institute of Technology – Thurley's first official collection was shown at Melbourne Fashion Week in 2006 and has since gone on to be stocked worldwide.

For spring/summer 2008, the collection comprises soft shapes and elegant styles in the form of shifts and tunic dresses trimmed with vintage silk lace in soft-washed silks and brocade and longer length knits.

My opinion on the subject...

I went on Austique´s homepage http://www.austique.co.uk/ to check out the collection but there were not so many pieces on the show. I searched the label on the Internet and found some beautiful dresses and tunics from Thurley. The collection is characterized by feminine details like French lace and intricate embroidery paired with vintage-inspired silhouettes. This label is very girly and pretty.

Thyrley is also sold at http://www.net-a-porter.com/. Right now there are 3 dresses and 1 cardigan on sale. Dresses cost between £295,00 and £485,00.
